What a day it was. I don't normally do 'diary entries' but yesterday was a fab day not to shout about.
I popped to my local florist The Daisy Chain in Skirlaugh to discuss some really lovely and exciting stuff we have planned in the up and coming weeks which we are both so looking forward to we could burst. The kids came along for the journey and my little boy has a love of all things pink so we couldn't leave without a floral treat to brighten up our front room.
I was also invited to the VIP launch evening of Sarah Laughran's new venture called 'At a Social Event'. Anyone who knows me well enough, will know my days (and nights) as a socialite are well and truly over these days but as it was wedding related it would have been rude not to go. I was lucky to be there as a guest and take my wedding photographer hat off so the complimentary champers was a perk of the evening; it's a hard life!
Sarahs new venture is a fab idea for brides and grooms looking to add something unique to their entertainment for the day as it's a central hub for social media savvy guests to uploads their pictures to be shown in real time at the recpetion. What a corker of an idea!!
The event was held at a lovely wedding dress shop called Forever Bridal Boutique which is gorgeously situated at the Willerby Manor hotel. Forever is owned by Rachel Alexander who I hadn't met previously but she was so down to earth and played hostess to everyone, making sure we were all looked after and our drinks were topped up! I also met some lovely new brides to be looking for the perfect dress and evening entertainment for their weddings and also met some great new vendors and blog writers Kate and Ashton too. My writing skills are far superceeded by these two lovelies who write about everything Yorkshire, cakes, books and even Veet!
A productively great day with little treats too. Can't argue with that!! Good luck Sarah on your venture; i'm sure you will do amazing. xx
