Tucked behind a golden gated beach front hideaway in Portinatx lies the eclectic paradise of Los Enamorados. Stepping down into the rocky steps feels like you are being vaulted back in time into a cave of all things authentically rich in late 20th century history. The hotel Los Enamorados (meaning 'The Lovers") has been magically redesigned from a tired Ibizan hostel into a welcoming and very, very unique place to hang out and stay.

I found this place in 2022 accidentally having booked boat hire just past the cove in which it is nestled. Having entered the area code into my maps, I aimlessly followed the road from the centre of Portinatx to their main doors and it literally took my breath away it's so bloody cool. Being a child of the 80's I was instantly hit with nostalgia with every single decoration and carefully curated item on display.

Los Enamorados just has that warmth about it, true Ibiza earthiness you seem to get from the north of the Island. From the funky chilled music, the super lovely staff who are more then happy to help and inviting 'relax here' furniture which makes you feel right at home. What started as an accidental introduction ended up being so much more....

So how did the 'meet cute' turn into a photo shoot. Well the story goes, that in 2023 Los Enamorados opened their doors to weddings which in my opinion was just the best news as it's just a perfect setting and size to host such an event.  So I had a chat with their management and together with an amazing local team of styling, planner, hair and make up we came up with this colourful, laid back wedding concept to showcase the wedding delights this hotel has to offer.

I worked with Daniela Tapia from Ibiza Wedding Venues and she was just amazing! We just clicked from the get go. She took my vision and ran away with it! Booking lots of other suppliers that fitted the brief perfectly. I love the colour scheme of Los Enamorados, the oranges and greens just made this a stylist dream for sure.

So, if you ever get a day to travel north in Ibiza, I would suggest you put Los Enamorados on the list of things to do. We drove by car, but you can also take the bus from Ibiza town (it takes around an hour) but it's a full day out and one you won't forget. I would also recommend hiring a small boat and cruising around the coastline as there are so many beautiful coves you can reach in a matter of minutes (ad the crystal waters are unreal). Make sure to book a table before arriving at Los Enamorados in the summer season as it gets booked up very quickly. And I also recommend staying over the night.... The starry dark skies and amazing breakfasts are unbeatable...
